(I'm getting rid of my human charries, but keeping a stable horse along with my wild horses)
Name: Flaming Heart Stable Name: Heart Age: 12 Color: Chestnut Markings: Blaze and socks on all four legs
I paced my stall, not nervously, but worriedly for sure. Where was my girl? Why hadn't she or her foolish brother come to see me? And why was I here? Little did I know that they had both died, in a car crash. In the meanwhile, I realized that I was being sold, whether for meat or pleasure I would not know until the bids came. I knew that it was likely I would go for meat, as I was not the spry young mare I once had been. I no longer could jump or barrel race with the best as I used to. But I would see what the future held.

(ok)
Ashleigh made her way through the crowd of people towards the front, where all the horses would be sold. Though she already had three, Teddy Bear, the pony, was quite small for her tall, slim body. Her jeans pocket was bulging with money and checks. For she was set out to buy yet another horse, or perhaps a large pony for herself today. She stopped when she got towards the front of the stage, patiently waiting for horses to be sold.
(since you are being the horse, could you be the auctioneer...and sell random horses or something...)

(lol, sure)
"Well, this heah hoss is right out of Cold Front, by Star's Wish, a great and well known cutter. This bright little colt promises to be just as great as his daddy. Do I have one thousand?" The auctioneer's fast chant came as a comforting noise to the mare.
I stuck my head over the gate that now separated me from the arena. I would be next it appeared. Backing up as a flashy black colt bucked right in front of me, I gently nudged my handler, wishing it was not a stranger, but my girl.

Ashleigh listened to the auctioneer's southern accent and looked at the black colt in front of her. He was a handsome one, alright, but she was not looking for a foal, no, not today. She did not have the time to train for a foal...maybe there was an older horse that would be perfect for her...

Soon the colt was sold, at a hefty price of 10 thousand dollars. He was led out and the mare led in.
I snorted harshly at the colt as he passed me, but calmed quickly and was led into the arena. My auds pricked as I looked around at the many people. Feeling a tug on my lead rope, I broke into the wanted trot. Not without a bit of urging mind you. I was getting on in years, already twelve. Looking around, I saw a girl quite like my own had been. I paused in front of her, but was pulled foward.
"This heah is a twelve year old mare, by the name of Flaming Heart. No outstanding bloodlines here folks, but if ya want a steady trail hoss, this is the mare for you." the auctioneer rattled out.

After the colt was sold, a chestnut mare passed in front of Ashleigh. She was an older one, a little older than Ashleigh wanted, but maybe she would try her. If she didn't like her, she could always sell her again. Her bright blue eyes stayed fixed on the mare as she stopped in front of her, almost like she was telling Ashleigh to pick her and take her home. Ashleigh decided that that was just what she would do.

"Let's start the bidding at $500 for this heah mare. Do I have any offers?"
I was halted in the center of the arena, to show off my good training. I obediantly lifted my hooves at the right time, and stood quietly while a man far too heavy to feel good as cargo sat atop me. As long as they did not ask me to carry him around the arena, I would not object.

Ashleigh looked at the mare before her. She was obedient, and moved so gracefully. If only it wasn;t for the heavy rider on her back. In her mind, Ashleigh pictured what she would look like a top that horse. When the autioneer called out $500, a cheap amount for a horse, Ashleigh raised up her slender arm and yelled, I bid $500 She then lowered her arm, her eyes on the mare, listening attentively to the autinooer's voice and anyone around her who wished to challenge her.

"I got five hundred, anyone for five fifty?" the auctioneer chanted out. A middle aged man who wanted the mare for meat called out, "Five seventy five!" The auctioneer started his chant again. "I got five hundred seventy five, five hundred seventy five. Who'll give me six hundred?"
I turned my head to look at the girl who I so wanted to be my new owner. THe man atop me tapped me lightly with a crop, which only served to annoy me. What was I doing wrong? I snorted loudly but turned my attention foward, which caused me to be staring at a wooden pole. What fun.

Ashleigh got filled with a sense of nervousness nad excitement. Nervousness because she was unsure about whether she could acctually win this mare or not. When the man placed his bid of five hundred and seventy five dollars, she shot her arm into the air once more and called out, I'll give you $600!

The man checked his clipboard and shook his head. For such an old mare, he wouldn't bother for this. The auctioneer called, "Going once, going twice, SOLD to the young lady for six hundred dollars." He frowned slightly at the low price, but at least it was something.
I whinnied excitedly and tossed my head toward the girl. The man slid off my back and they led me over near her.

Ashleigh jumped up in the air when no other bids had been called out after hers. She had won the mare! It was a low price, $600, that was REALLY cheap for a horse, she was lucky. As her new mare was being led over to her, she took the reins from the man and asked him, Is there any papers I need to fill out? Or do I recieve papers or something? It was her first time at an auction, she didn't quite know what to do. Ashleigh stroked her new horse's velvety muzzle as she waited a reply.

"Normally there would be papers, but this mare don't have none." the man replied, walking off once Ashleigh had the reins.
I sighed contentedly and nuzzled Ashleigh. Finally I was going t o be cared about again.
